Israel SII certification

 According to the Standardization Act, Israel regulates products according to their degree of harm to public health and safety, which can be divided into four levels:

Class I is the product of the highest degree of public health and safety hazards, such as household appliances, children's toys, pressure vessels, portable fire extinguisher.

Category II is a product of moderate public health and safety potential, including sunglasses, balls for various purposes, installation piping, carpets, bottles, building materials.

Class III is a product with a low level of public health and safety hazards: tiles, ceramic sanitary ware, etc.

Category IV is for industrial use only and not directly to the consumer's products: such as industrial electronic products.

application process

1. Marking certification: Voluntary + compulsory certification, in principle, voluntary certification, but for the first category of products to implement mandatory certification requirements.

1) Mandatory products include: Class I products, including storage of solar water heaters, plugs and sockets, lamps, ballasts, lamp holders, household gas appliances, portable electric immersion heaters, electric kettles, fire extinguishers, washing machines, Air conditioning, home heating / cooking / frying equipment, elevators, electric blankets, the original battery, and so on. 2) Certification procedures: SII product testing + SII first factory inspection + SII annual factory inspection = SII certificate

2. Safety Mark certification. Mainly for the first category of products. The main purpose of applying for the certification is to reduce the procedures of customs inspection and to enter the market in a short time. Different from the standard mark certification, safety certification does not require certification audit.

3. SII type approval Type Approval: the current widely used approach. After the application is approved, the mark shall not be granted, but the product shall be allowed to be imported and sold after the customs has reached the pre-shipment inspection standard. No audit requirements.

4. SII Shipment Inspection: When the goods arrive, the Israeli customs will carry on the batch test and the inspection to the product. In this way a greater risk.
